Paediatric Radiology Meeting

The paediatric radiology meeting is held every Monday morning in the MRI Seminar room (located next to the CT department, B floor, West Block, QMC). It is hosted by the paediatric radiology team (Dr Nigel Broderick, Dr Kath Halliday, Dr John Somer and Dr Laura Fender)

Please bring along the names and case note details of any cases you wish to discuss.

The aims of the meeting are:

  • highlight important learning points from radiological imaging in a wide range oa cute paediatric, neonatal, specialty and surgical paediatric cases
  • review radiological investigations from the previous week
  • discuss imaging and investigation strategies with the radiology team and the rest of the paediatric department

Trainees should take the opportunity to develop their skills in:

  • presenting cases concisely and accurately
  • eliciting the specific learning points from a case
  • formulating appropriate radiological investigation strategies

Remember that the results of discussions at the paediatric radiology meeting should be documented in the patient case notes as you would for any other multi-disciplinary team meeting.
